Has anyone actually received the packing discount?

I have sent 5 separate 'orders' into Amazon, utilising the packing discount offered on the 'Send to Amazon' page.

Each time I have used a partnered Amazon carrier. Each time it has taken me a great deal longer to pack and send in items, spread across the 4 separate boxes at an additional delivery cost to myself each the time.

I sent my first packing discount order in on 28th July 2025, all 4 boxes were checked in and marked as closed on 25th August. The Seller University info and having spoken to an associate on live chat says I should receive the discount within 30 days from closure. It has now been 100 days and I am yet to receive this discount.

The adviser said 'due to busy periods it may take longer' but it has no been x3 longer now, so realistically, am I ever going to receive this 'discount' reimbursement?

To confirm, there was no discrepancies reported with any of the 4 boxes. I have checked my 'savings' tile and the packing discount line is nowhere to be seen.

Has anyone else actually received their packing discount from this initiative?

Hi,

We've been using it for over a year now and do see FBA fee discounts. I responded to a thread last year about it and have copied it for you here -

'We see discounts applied to roughly the level we were expecting even with the inevitable discrepancies when checking in - but as I explain below, it is almost impossible to match it up.

We have been using this since the start of the year. We ended up having to contact managing directors office to get clarity on how the discount is applied. They explained that they just don't charge FBA fees on some orders roughly 30 days after your shipment is completed. If you go to reports repository and download a transaction report for a time period then filter -

- Fulfilled by amazon

- Orders (filter out refunds)

- Filter out FBA fees to only show '0' and you'll see a list of order numbers that haven't been charged FBA fees

In terms of matching it up against what is quoted on the manage workflows page it is almost impossible but it at least gives you a rough idea of how many orders you haven't been charged for so you can calculate a rough amount. MD office informed me that a 'track your savings' tile was being added to seller central in April however that hasn't arrived yet.

We sell a lot of low priced, high volume, small goods so it works well for us. Only you can decide if it is worth it for your particular business.

If you have any more questions then please ask and I can answer the best to my knowledge, wouldn't bother with seller support they just seem to copy and paste the policy document (also seems to be the case for forum mods too).

Hope that helps!'

I've done three of these now, starting in October, and there's nothing in the "Check Incentive Offers" pane, which is where we're supposed to see the savings, I think?

They take considerably longer to prepare and cost more in shipping. I won't be doing any more without proof of savings.

I seen a thread a while back from a seller who had questioned this.

In the end they contacted the MD office who explained to them that to compensate they do not charge fees for FBA upto the credit. You will be able to see in some reports that the fees for some FBA sales are zero by way of a the credit.

I will see if I can find the thread, it was very helpful

I heard that the dev team were supposed to be producing a dashboard to track this, but no update in months.

We do need some hard data to work out how much this is impacting the business!

Hello there everyone,

I'm sorry you have had difficulties tracking your packing discount associated with using the recommended packing for your inbound shipment to FBA. In order to investigate I will need examples of your "track your savings" tool not working as expected. Can you please provide your case ID where this is not working as expected? Thank you for your understanding.

@Glenn_Amazon

For the record, I still haven't seen any packing discounts applied to my account or these haven't been highlighted in the tile as advised.

Unfortunately I don't have a case ID as the initial discussion with the advisor was via live chat.

For reference, this isn't being tracked on my 'incentives' panel, in the same was that new to FBA savings is.
