Character count on keywords

Is it 250 characters max on keywords for listings? Is there any site anywhere on good keywords to use, or can we test them somehow to see how good they are?

There are sites out there that will provide this. Google ’ reverse asin’

There are also you tube tutorials with tips e.g. using the auto fill function on amazon to see variations of searches.

I believe that you are able to enter more than 250 characters per field. However, if you exceed a total count of 250 characters in all keyword fields, then the keywords will not be indexed and your product will no longer be displayed for them in Amazon’s search results.

And the limit is basically 250 bytes, not 250 characters. In general, characters count as 1 byte. However, there are some special characters such as ‘é’, ‘ä’ or ‘&’, that count as 2 or more bytes. They are not used very often, but please be aware of this. Punctuation (‘,’ or ‘;’) and spaces do not count as bytes.

Also, in Sponsored Products campaigns, the limit is 1000 keywords and there is a maximum limit of 10 words per keyword and 80 characters.
