Read onlyHi All
I have a Royal Mail Click & Drop account & my OBA number is on Amazon & is linked with the status shown as "Active" but I have been clicking on the yellow "Buy Shipping" button on Amazon next to the order, which then comes off the screen once label is bought. However on the Click & Drop screen is shows as "Apply postage" giving the impression that those Amazon orders have not shipped.
When I have any questions about non deliveries on Amazon Click & Drop are treating me as a residential customer for these Amazon orders. Apparently if you pay on account then you're a business, but if you pay at the time of the label it considers you as residential, so I am guessing that this is happening because I click the yellow buy shipping button on Amazon.
Royal Mail Click & drop does not think my MFN is linked to my OBA on Amazon but my OBA number is displayed in the box & status "Active"
Another issue I had sometime ago is that when I went to manifest end of day on Amazon it kept saying "no download available" & that went on for months so I stopped trying & just took my post with my RM manifest for my ebay orders & just mixed the Amazon in the bags.
So I suppose what I am really asking here is do I just buying shipping for my Amazon orders through click & drop as I do for my ebay orders? I used to buy it in this way before all the VTR nonsense started & I have been clicking on the yellow "Buy Shipping" button on Amazon next to the orders because I thought that was what stopped my VTR rate from falling, so have I been buying this Amazon postage in the wrong way & should I just do it through click & drop & it won't impact my VTR?
Hope someone can clear this up.
Regards
Ed
If you ship through Amazon it doesn't update Click and Drop with the fact that the item has been shipped. In click and drop you would either have to delete it or mark it as despatched by another courier.
For VTR purposes you must buy letter postage through Amazon for it to be valid for VTR
For all other postage buying through Amazon or Click and Drop makes no difference to whether or not you will be suspended for VTR.
What should happen if you buy postage through Amazon and nowhere else is that your VTR rate should be 100%. Some sellers are though now reporting that this is no longer the case.
If you buy postage through click and drop then any CRL 24/48 that do not have a delivery scan will show as invalid for VTR. However you shouldn't be suspended for VTR as Amazon validates the unscanned items
Also you can only buy CRL 24/48 and tracked 24/48 through Amazon buy shipping on an OBA account. If you buy second class or special delivery these are brought as a non business customer
