Amazon Verification - Waiting 7 months

Hello,

Is there anyone that could possibly help me.

I have been in a verification cycle for over 7 months. The customer care team have been pushing me onto the verification team, they verify and then nothing happens.

I cannot remove money from my account and I cannot advertise - 7 months.

It has crippled my business, and once I have the money out of my account, I aim to shut it down ASAP.

I’m not sure if this will be helpful, but we experienced a similar situation where £10,000 was held for more than two years (since 2023). We were caught in a loop where the same documents we had originally submitted to create the account were repeatedly deemed insufficient for verification. Despite countless appeals and emails to the Managing Director, nothing was resolved.

Before escalating, make sure there are no discrepancies in your documents, address, name, or any other account details. If everything is accurate and up to date, and the issue still remains unresolved, you may wish to consider taking the matter further.

In 2025, we decided to escalate the matter by raising a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman. Within three months, the funds were returned. Escalating the issue externally appeared to prompt meaningful action.
