UPS Inbound fees higher than usual is this normal?

Spoken to a few other sellers who are all paying less than me when it comes to UPS partnered rates on amazon for inbound shipments wondering what others are paying for a 20-23kg Parcel atm, mine is £6.28 for a parcel that is 21.8kg & 40 x 60 x 50

That box is too big overall - do a dummy shipment with a 60 x 40 x 40 box and you'll lively see it's two thirds of that price. You need to weigh up whether it's worth one box your size or two slightly smaller boxes.

My inbound FBA carton always weigh 20kg, typically 50cm x 50cm x 40cm ...the Amazon cost breakdown is

FBAInboundTransportationFee = £4.31 (inc. VAT)

FBAInboundTransportationProgramFee = £0.22 (inc. VAT)

That totals up to £4.53 inc VAT (£3.78 exc VAT)

£6.28 seems a little bit on the high side - we're generally paying £4 - £5.

As you are probably aware, DPD recently came onboard as an Amazon Partner and I see they're undercutting UPS for some shipments. I've seen prices as low as £3.50ish, but not for all shipments.

Honestly though, if you've been selling on Amazon as long as we have — a few years ago £6.28 was a really good price for 22kg.

Given how much everything has increased in price over the last few years, not to mention the current fuel surcharges, the fact that inbound delivery rates are still going down is hard to fathom. Not complaining though.

If you ask about this on social media (the Musk platform) tagging in UPS they will reply normally (although more slowly than fraudsters pretending to be UPS). You might even get to speak to a human being.

@Seller_5S24UsCBMtGIx Hello there!

The Amazon Partnered Carrier Programme (PCP) uses rates that Amazon has negotiated directly with UPS, and these are designed to be discounted compared to what you'd typically get going directly to UPS yourself. However, it's important to understand that the rate you see isn't a flat fee that's the same for everyone, it's calculated based on several key factors.

If you believe something doesn't look right with your specific charges, I'd recommend opening a case with Selling Partner Support so they can review your account-level details.

Feel free to follow-up back here with your Case ID if you still need assistance after working with support.
