We have detected a potential pricing error. The price may be too high. Click Update Price to resolve

Hi all, Going mad here

I have a product - hand made, priced correctly (there’s someone selling similar to me but selling for £2 more for a smaller and simpler version) and I keep getting these errors. The products have been selling well for over a year.

I have 3 products this is doing it on, there’s only a hand full of items like it on amazon so Im unsure what amazon is comparing it to to decide that my price is “incorrect”

“Reactivate your listings and avoid pricing errors by updating your offer price in accordance with”

My “offer price” …maybe thats where im going wrong, whats my “offer” price

Any advice?

I’ve had a few of these, I’ve changed them from £3.99 to £3.95 and that seems to work.

I also accidentally reduced a £69.99 item to £4.99 a few weeks ago, which broke the system and then they deemed it a wrong price and kept deactivating it. To fix that I deleted the listing for 48hrs and then relisted and it worked… the items were FBA and large boxes so I didn’t want to recall the stock and make a new listing.

If any of that helps!

I’ve had three of four of these (handmade and standard listings), it’s always been when I have previously reduced an item drastically in order to reduce the stock, eg £8.99 down to £2.99… when the price goes up to normal again they claim it’s a pricing error! Lowering the original price a bit worked for me. It’s annoying though.

I’ve had lots of these in the past but what I’m mostly receiving now are emails entitled:

Your Offer(s) that are not eligible to be a Featured Offer

I’m getting several of these everyday, mostly for some DVDs I originally listed ages ago. One is a box set I have up at £7. Amazon wants me to reduce it to £2.50 to get the buybox. I can’t even post it for that price.

These are all email messages - I don’t recall receiving similar in the past, so something new. The items are not suppressed, they simply won’t get the buybox.

I don’t even have a price suggestion :frowning:

I’m getting bombarded with emails headed:
Take action: One or more of your offers are not eligible to be a Featured Offer (Buy Box)

I want to turn them off in notification preferences.
It looks like that comes under
Pricing and offer notification

Hopefully switching that off won’t stop other, important, emails coming through…
