90244: We can't accept the count you entered for Unit Count.
"We can't accept the count you entered for Unit Count. To fix this, select an approved value from the list for your product category and resubmit."
There is only one option to choose from for Unit Count Type which is "pair" (spelt all lowercase which suggests an error with the flat file as all other options for the other drop down boxes start with a capital letter). Every number I enter for for the number of pairs (Unit Count) comes up with this error.
I submitted a listing in the same category a couple of weeks ago, which included these attributes and it worked fine, so I'm guessing there has been a change made by Amazon which is causing this error.
Can anyone help me?
Thank you in advance.

I would compare this new listing against the listing you created a couple of weeks ago that worked. Check whether the product type, category/browse node, and required attributes are exactly the same. Amazon may be applying a different template or validation rule.
If the category and product type are the same, try testing the Unit Count fields only: set Unit Count Type to pair and enter the actual number of pairs in Unit Count, for example 1 if the product is one pair. If that still triggers 90244, the issue is probably not your number but a template validation mismatch — the form is offering pair, but the backend validator is rejecting the related Unit Count value.
In that case, I would open a case asking Seller Support to confirm whether Unit Count is genuinely required for that exact product type, or whether the category template has a validation error.

Hi @Seller_ikiMekfwSsiv3,
Thank you for reaching out to us. I've reviewed your case (125542934--) and the investigation results.
The issue has been identified as error code 90244, which occurs when the value entered is not recognized as valid by the system.
To resolve this:
- Ensure you are entering a whole number integer for Unit Count (e.g., "1", "2", "3" — not "1.0" or decimal values)
- Select "pair" as the Unit Count Type
- If submitting via flat file, confirm the value format matches the template requirements exactly
If the error persists after trying the above, please reply to your existing case with the exact value you're entering and a screenshot of the error, and the team can investigate further.
Best,
Kai

Hi,
I have the exact same issue.
Did you manage to find a resolution? I've contacted seller support multiple times and they couldn't help me.
It just seems that it can't accept 'pair' not matter what number I put in.
If you have any advice that would be greatly appreciated.
