I have a professional seller account - Amazon has only charged me for the first month

Hello,

I created an Amazon Profession Seller account back in December of 2022. I was charged the monthly $39.99 fee for that first month, but haven't been charged for the following two months. I don't see any subsequent charges on my credit card (besides that first one) and don't see any charges other than the first in my payments report.

Now, I haven't actually started selling yet, or even ordered any inventory, but as far as I know this monthly fee is charged regardless of whether there is any such activity on the account or not. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

If I am correct in the above assertion, then clearly there has been some error on Amazons side and for some reason they have failed to charged me the monthly fee for the past two months. I would like to address this as soon as possible in case this results in my account being flagged/suspended. Can anyone direct me to who I can speak to regarding this issue?

Thank you all.

Don't worry about it. If you owe Amazon monthly fees, they will catch up with you.

You will not lose your account if Amazon failed to deduct monthly fees from you. Check your credit card for the fees, if you have not yet sold anything and there is no money in your account:

Note: If the available balance in your seller account is insufficient, the remaining amount will be charged to your credit card. (See: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/G201747610)

It's my understanding that Amazon will charge you for the first month but will not charge you again until you start selling. This is to give people time to get everything set up before incurring the monthly fee.

Thank you to everyone who responded. I contacted seller support just in case and they said:

Upon checking I see that payments have been made correctly and there is no issue so you can ignore it.

So I guess I will ignore it.

Thanks again to those who responded. Much appreciated.
