Hi, @Seller_mmk3Qr5cXL9ON

This is a very common issue and it can absolutely be resolved. Amazon's system automatically links accounts based on shared data points, even if you have never heard of the other company.

Here is exactly what to do, step by step.

Step 1: Identify the Link First

Before writing any appeal, go through this checklist carefully and be completely honest with yourself:

  • IP Address: Has anyone else ever logged into your Seller Central from the same WiFi or network? A cafe, shared office, or home broadband that others use?
  • Device: Has anyone else ever used your laptop, phone, or computer to access any Amazon account, even briefly?
  • Address: Is your registered business address, home address, or delivery address shared with anyone else? Even a previous tenant or co-working space?
  • Phone Number: Has your current phone number ever been used on another Amazon account previously?
  • Email Domain: Does your email domain match or closely resemble the email of the linked account?
  • Bank Account: Has your bank account, sort code, or credit card ever been linked to another Amazon account?
  • Credit Card: Did you ever share your credit card with someone else who used it on their Amazon account, including a buyer account?
  • Previous Employee or Business Partner: Have you ever worked with someone, employed someone, or been in a business partnership with someone who had their own Amazon seller account?

One single match from the above list is enough for Amazon to link your account. Find it before you appeal, because Amazon already knows what it is.

Step 2: Still Cannot Find the Link?

If you have gone through the entire checklist and still cannot identify the connection, do the following:

Call Account Health Support and speak to a specialist directly

Ask them specifically which data point triggered the account association

They may not reveal everything but can often point you in the right direction

Note down the name of every agent you speak to

Step 3: Prepare Your Appeal/Explaination Based on Your Situation

Situation A: You Genuinely Do Not Know the Linked Account

If after all checks you truly have no connection to the other account:

Write a Sworn Affidavit clearly stating that you have no relationship with the linked account and have never known or dealt with that entity

Get it notarised by a Notary Public with their official seal

If you believe your identity or data has been misused, file a Police Report and attach a copy to your appeal along with the affidavit

Situation B: You Shared a Credit Card or Had Limited Contact

If you did share a credit card with someone or had minimal contact:

Prepare a clear written explanation of the circumstances

Include bank statements showing your independent business finances

Submit the notarised affidavit confirming your accounts operate completely independently

Situation C: You Know the Linked Account (Business Partner, Service Provider, etc.)

If the linked account belongs to a former business partner, employee, or service provider:

  • Provide the original Partnership Agreement or Service Contract
  • Provide a Termination Letter or Dissolution Deed confirming the relationship has ended
  • Attach Bank Statements showing your finances are now fully separate

Clearly explain in your appeal that the business relationship has been completely dissolved

Step 4: Documents to Prepare in All Cases

Company registration certificate in your name only

Government issued ID of the account holder

Separate bank account statement showing independent business activity

Utility bill or lease agreement confirming your independent business address

Any additional evidence demonstrating your business operates completely independently

The Most Important Thing

Amazon will not reinstate your account if your appeal simply says "I don't know this company." You must identify the specific connection that triggered the link and address it directly with evidence.

If no connection exists whatsoever, the notarised affidavit and police report are your strongest tools.

Work through the checklist above first, then prepare your documents accordingly. Happy to help with the next steps.

Good luck!
