Suppressed listing due to '[color]' is required but not supplied
Hi All, hopefully someone can help with this issue.
We have been listing in the shoe category for a while, now suddenly we have about 7 listings that have been suppressed due to ‘[color]’ is required but not supplied. The colour has been supplied in all listings, when I go to ‘edit’ the colour is showing in both boxes but the boxes are outlined in red. I go into Fix your products, in inventory, add the colour again and it saves. But then suppressed again shortly afterwards. I opened a ticket with Amazon who suggested removing listing, wait 24 hours and relist. I did, and exactly the same problem occurred again.
Currently pulling my hair out trying to sort this out, any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Wow, I just came to this forum to post about this and I’m so glad I’m not the only one.
They suppressed over 200 of our listings over the last week because of missing colors. These listings were just fine and we didn’t edit them at all.
Can’t add the color from “Fix your listings” (I add it, I save it… Refresh the page, the item’s back), and like you, if I Edit the listing you can see the color is in the box but there’s a red error that the color is missing.
Amazon Support is being totally useless with this. They keep telling me “the color is important, you should add it!” (I know, I did…) or yesterday they told me to make a “full upload” with an inventory template file, and I did. Upload successful, exact same errors on the items
They won’t accept the possibility of something broken on their end though and I’m sitting here with over 200 inactive listings

Amazon will not look into this issue, not there problem. Daft as it is, we generally have 6 different sizes for each new listing, and on 1 listing 5 sizes are suppressed due to colour but 1 size is active. Even though they were all uploaded on the same feed with the same information. Absolutely crazy.

It’s been going on since last year.
All support tell you is to upload it again via an inventory file.
How about Amazon just fix it so it works on seller central that you can manually do it which would take all of less than 2 seconds, instead of having to create an inventory loader file and fill in a load of data that is already in there anyway.

Got 100’s of these, happens with size too.
Sometimes you can fix it by putting a space after the colour. Sometimes SS fix it, sometimes they tell us to upload via file to do a full update.

@Jessica I have hundreds with this issue, been this way for months. It’s clear that others too have this issue.
This would indicate it’s a bug. Is there a way you can report such a bug internally for investigation?

Has anyone had any success? I had this a few months ago and it fixed itself.
I now have around 50 suppressed listings and the colour is there. I’ve tried many different times with different methods (capital first letter, all lower case, space after, no space after) but nothing is fixing it.
It really is frustrating and takes so much time and checking back. I guess I will have to contact SS but they tell me to upload the file, I don’t list that way so no idea how to. I don’t want to delete the listings so they start again from scratch.
So has anyone seen any of these fixed?

Has anyone got this sorted yet? I have still NOT and it is so frustrating.

My favourite story like this (which shows how fab amazon is in its systems) is that I tried to sell a wallet. It listed fine for months. Then I got a ding for “incompletely listed”. What did I miss? I didn’t list the “heel height”. But it’s a wallet. Your listing says its a wallet. The picture is a picture of a wallet. Wallets don’t have heels. So I just thought “let’s fight stupid with stupid” and made up a heel height. Fine for months then “you should be listing a European standard heel height”. But it’s still a f***ing wallet! I think if amazon stopped lecturing us and devoted all the resources to fixing its own screw ups (including it being impossible to tell them anything) buyers and sellers would be in paradise.

I don’t have the answer so I’ve just given up. I’ve got 4 backpacks in the exact situation. Carbon copy of your post.
This has been going on for me for at very least a couple of years.
Hopefully someone has the answer. 🤷

Still going and appears impossible to fix. Can Amazon sort this out, it’s time consuming and irritating.
