Can I apply for ungating while waiting for account verification?
Hi
I am a brand new seller, like many, still in the queue currently for my seller account to be verified. Whilst I am waiting for verification I am tempted to start the ungating process to open up some categories.
Has anyone else tried this and did it work? Or is it recommended that I wait for my account to be verified before ungating?

You can list your products and go around everything as you would normally bar none of your listings will actually go live so you can have everything set in advance if you have the stock already with you if you do not have the stock I would strongly advise against as if the account gets approved its likely to be overnight and items may sell which you don’t have

I checked everything repeatedly and don’t know where the fault is cause am sure I gave them the right invoice cause it’s from NDA toys and they are recommended far as I know

If I remember rightly new sellers can’t do toys until they have sold other stuff, or is that me getting mixed up with christmas

I have just had a look if I found the right one it’s listed as in Cheshire but not registered on company house on that name website shows no company or vat numbers

I have been selling other stuff that are not restricted I sold some few back to school stuff but my only problem is to ungate toys and groceries am waiting for their groceries reply but for my toys invoice I don’t know where I went wrong with it because am based in Uk and NDA toys are wholesalers and legit and am sure it’s not a proforma invoice I took live pictures too to prove I purchased the products

Alright that’s absolutely fine I appreciate you guys taking your time to reply…and the only thing that baffles me is that they ungated my friend with NDA stores and she is a new seller too but will see I won’t give up as long they are giving reasons not to approve me

I thought I’d provide an update on this in case it helps anyone. I have successfully ungated in a few categories while still waiting for verification! Incl. Toys (despite some comments here about needing to have to have some selling history first). Ungating took a couple of weeks. But account is still pending verification - the verification team is completely separate to the other seller support teams.
