Customer in Germany wants to return goods
I sold some shoes on the German marketplace for 95 euros and the customer wants to return them. Can i refuse his request? He bought and paid for them but now want to return them.
If i cant deny his request, is he responsible for paying the postage costs?
Thanks.

On amazon .de?
No.
If he bought from you on amazon.de you have to provide a return address in Germany - he pays for the shipping if it’s a change of mind - you pay if there is a fault.
If you can’t do this you have to provide a pre-paid label for return to the UK. You pay for the return whether it is a change of mind or a fault.
Or . . . write them off and let him keep them - for free.

Depends on the reason for return. If they no longer want them then they are responsible for postage cost. If they are defective or not as described then you are responsible for postage cost.

That is not the case here. Clothing, Shoes, Jewellery and Watches are free returns, the buyer does not pay the return postage, no matter what the reason, the seller always has to pay. As someone said earlier

Accept the return at your expense and have Amazon provide a postage paid return label then Amazon will charge the shipping cost to your account once it has been shipped. Job done

What we used to do for international returns like that was goto the german DPD website, purchase the DE to UK delivery and then send the customer the label.

I will clarify the situation ,
if the goods were purchased on Amazon DE
then for what ever reason and for what ever goods , you will need to either provide an address in Germany for the return to go to or if the goods are coming back to the UK .
You have to provide a pre-paid returns label , this is not Amazon Rule , it is European laws on distance selling .
If the product was purchased =on Amazon uk , then the buyer is responsible for the return of the item
I am sire when we leave Europe , Amazon will keep this rule .

It’s a lot easier to use a courier rather than Royal Mail for this, we’ve found.
If you book the courier on a website like Parcel2Go or Interparcel, use the customer’s details as the sender and yours as the recipient, then email them the label. That way, you can control the costs and you have complete visibility of the tracking.

Why don’t you just offer him a significant discount if he keeps them?.. he may change his mind then
