Subscribe & Save - How does it work when competing on a listing with other sellers?

A question I really want to know the answer to. What happens with subscribe and save on a listing that has multiple sellers selling the same product.

We currently have the buy box with a subscribe and save offer and have 80 subscribers on this particular ASIN, if we increase the price on this listing and move from the featured offer will these 80 subscribers continue to get their orders dispatched from us (providing we have stock on an FBA offering)?

Also, once we have subscribe and save on a listing can we lose this to other sellers on the listing if we run out of stock or aren’t priced competitively?

Just curious as to how subscribe and save works on listings that has multiple offerings from multiple sellers. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Answering from experience only, I do not know the official way that Amazon works on this.

Ok, if you increase the price on the listing, the subscribers will continue to get the product from yourself, at the higher price.
Yes, you can lose the buy box if you are out of stock or overpriced etc. But the S&S offer will still be yours.

I have found that it gives better availability of the buy box, when you have this kind of listing. So even slightly more expensive, you still get it. Also, I’ve noticed that if you provide a discount on it and someone else is selling lower than your offer price, if the discount is cheaper, you will still offer the S&S box.
