UPS Package Lost After Collection!?

Hi All,

Has anyone experienced anything like this? After arranging a collection from UPS to ship to Amazon on Thursday, the tracking updated to show it had been picked up but then nothing since.

Having shipped with them through Amazon many times before in the past it always reaches a depot such as Tamworth the same day when dropped off by the UPS driver. I know they can sit at depots when the fulfilment centres reject the packages or are too busy to give UPS a delivery date, but I’ve never had this where the parcel has been picked up and then not recorded again.

I phoned UPS & they said as tracking still says delivery due last Friday that I can request an investigation as its lost. When doing this online it doesn’t let me as Amazon are the account holder as we buy the shipping through Amazon as a UPS partnered carrier.

Both Amazon & UPS are handing me over from one to the other saying its the other parties problem to raise the investigation.

If anyone has had any similar experiences, your advice would be much appreciated! Maybe i’m being premature, but to me it seems the parcel hasn’t been scanned since the driver did so on the truck last Thursday.

Thanks both. Yes Tamworth is not far from where I am so all packages go straight there off the UPS van.

Worry over, the package was checked in & received at Amazon last night. UPS tracking still hasn’t updated from the day it was collected & had customer service email about the parcel being lost today. Must be having issues with their systems.
