Amazon Brand registry help or eligible?

I am not VAT registered and a sole trader, not a limited Company.
My designs are unique to me so can I apply for Amazon Brand registry and what, if any, are the advantages of such a registration ?

VAT, Company / Sole Trader etc… have nothing to do with brand registry.

You need a national / international trademark, or a patent for every item you want to protect, you can then register that with the Amazon Brand Registry programme.
You’d probably need multiple applications.

Note: Amazon Brand Registry has nothing to do with the IPO’s, it’s just a way of enforcing your existing IPO rights on the Amazon platforms.

Thanks for all your help. It seems as though I am not eligible for Amazon Registry and cannot therefore open an Amazon Store.

You just need a Trade Mark number from the UK Intellectual Property office. It is a real pain and cost me over £200, the trade mark is the easy bit but a long process after it has bee published as you have to wait up to another 4 weeks for it to br granted to allow for any disputes. Amazon brand registry is a total nightmare. Even the Intellectual Property office, which is based in Wales are feed up with Amazon as you need verification codes, which the UK intellectual properties office will no longer issue. I finally git mine through with Amazon when I emailed stating that the UK Interlecual Properties office have emailed me stating that it is not in their remit to curtail to Amazon’s endless demands once an UK trade mark number has been issued. - Once Amazon accept a brand you can then pay over for more advertising!

Have just looked at your ‘designs’ and thought I’d point out, you wouldn’t have a cat in hells chance of protecting any of the designs that breach intellectual property such as Disney, etc. In fact I went through about 10 pages of ‘your designs’ and didn’t see a single design you’d be able to protect.

How can you protect YOUR designs, when they are the copyright of DISNEY???

I started this conversation to find out what Amazon Brand registry meant.
I now realise that it obviously does not apply to many of my designs, which are unique to me, but are based upon popular images and characters.
I now understand what it means so thank you all but I will just continue as before.
