I received a safety compliance complaint on a product that I have just listed. It has 3 variations on it and 2 are listed as needing Safety compliance documents. I contacted the manufacturer and got this reply....Omitted the company name...
Thank you for contacting CompanyNames and for your interest in our products. CompanyNames is committed to making high quality products pursuant to the safety standards required by the CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act).
CompanyNames’ products are tested by independent accredited 3rd party laboratories to ensure that they meet all applicable safety standards. CompanyNames tests every product and provides passing test reports and certificates of compliance to all distributors and retailer customers to whom we ship our products.
All the Certificates of Compliance and associated Test Reports are provided to the Importer of Record (owner, purchaser, consignee, or authorized Customs broker of our products coming into the Country)
Can I appeal this case on this bases since I am just a reseller? I bought the products a big box store to sell on Amazon. There are quite a few people on the listing...none of which are Amazon or the company itself.
Hi @Kimberly27,
Thank you for your post. I understand you are seeing a compliance issue. Thank you for the information you have shared regarding the needed documents. Based off the information you have provided, I would suggest getting the actual certificate itself since this would be more likely to meet the compliance document requirements.
Please continue to reach out the community for further assistance.
Regards,
Troy
