The Title of my listing was changed - not by me
I sell this product for almost a year now, I am the manufacturer of it and the only seller. Somebody changed the title, claiming it is made out of metal and for outdoor use, while it is actually made out of plastic and for indoor use. I am unable to change the title back.
Amazon requests now documents to change the title back, a picture of packaging with the EAN on it, there is no packaging for the product...
Absolutely crazy, how is this even possible?

it might have been done by amazon retail - they seem to be responsible for a lot of the title and product detail page "abuse".
Not that it can be reported as abuse - as amazon will not accept reports against themselves.
But do be carefuly about reporting abuse - sometimes they hold all the sellers on that asin responsible and send them all a health warning!

ask seller support to confirm that you are the main ( or sole ) contributer to the listing .
which should give you the right to request changes the listing .
your only other option is to delete the listing and after 24 hours create a new listing using the same seller SKU ( which should allow you to add the correct information without loosing your reviews )

This is a tactic employed normally by Chinese sellers, they alter the backend. I've seen clients of mine have their products changed to sex toys ect. They pay somebody in China who does it internally..
