Sunday Delivery

Has anybody noticed that Amazon has now included Sundays in the delivery times since easter. Eatser they included bank holiday Monday when it should not have been and this weekend i can see any prime orders shipped Saturday were marked as to be delivered by Sunday. Checked my shipping settings and i do not have sunday as delviery or shipping day. Seller support very confused and doing what they normally do and passing to the internal team but they agreed its not correct as Easter Monday was not a delviery day and nethier are Sundays but im now sitting under 90% OTR due to Easter and will get worse when this weekend is pulled in as over 150 Primes failed as wasnt delviered Sunday

Yes, I am also experiencing this, but with Standard (non-Prime, non-Premium) RM Tracked 24 delivery on an SSA-enabled shipping template.

I made a case (12360210112) on Friday, and it was sent to the 'internal specialist team'. On Saturday evening, the case was closed with the explanation:

"After reviewing your case with our internal specialist team, we have identified the root cause of this issue. According to your Order Fulfillment Settings, Monday to Saturday will be considered a Delivery Day for Seller-Fulfilled Prime Orders using Premium Delivery Options when delivery regions are not determined based on Delivery Setting Automations. Additionally, Monday to Saturday or Sunday to Friday (depending on the delivery service that you selected) will be considered a Delivery Day for Seller-Fulfilled Prime Orders using Premium Delivery Options when delivery regions are determined based on Delivery Setting Automations.

This explains why Sunday delivery was appearing despite your shipping template settings. The delivery promise system was following the Order Fulfillment Settings configuration rather than your individual shipping template preferences. Your settings are now functioning as intended, and you should be able to re-enable Saturday dispatch with the correct delivery estimates showing to customers."

I set the handling time of a low-traffic listing to mimic a next-Saturday dispatch with Tracked 24, and of course it once again gave Sunday as the delivery date.

It took 1 hour and 45 minutes on the live chat with 3 agents to convince them to send it back to the team, and I'm waiting to see how they will respond this time.

Just to confirm, you do have Sunday ticked as a 'no delivery day' in your shipping settings?

Yes, Sunday is a No Delivery day for all services in the 'Account level preferences' section of my Order Fulfillment Settings, which is why their explanation didn't make sense; since I want the delivery promise system to follow the Order Fulfillment Settings like it always has.

Ours is working as intended (touch wood).

It's a pain in the backside but could you increase your handling time on a Friday/Saturday every week to ensure it shows Monday instead of Sunday? Then revert it back?

Obviously not the fix you want but a temporary solution at least, particularly if your rates are about to be massively effected.

All my bookings are booked via the buy shipping portal so under their own policy it shopuldnt be counted!

Thbis is taken from their own OTDR pages

OTDR exemptions

Orders will have no negative effect on your OTDR when fulfilled using all three of Amazon’s automation tools:

1. Shipping Settings Automation (SSA) enabled on shipping templates

2. Automated Handling Time (AHT) enabled on your account OR a 0–1-day default handling time enabled

3. Buy shipping labels through Manage Orders or Shipping API, or select multi-channel integrators with access to Buy Shipping.

All these orders that have been effected were purchsed via pouint 3 the buy shipping API so do not count against the OTDR

Thanks for the help. I had to increase the handling time to correct for the Easter trouble UPC_Trading mentioned, and again on Friday when this new Sunday delivery issue cropped up. I'll probably end up doing it again this week or just going back to manual shipping templates if they're not affected.

Thankfully, only one order got through before I noticed (Friday dispatch, 2 days estimated delivery from England to Northern Ireland) and changed my settings, and it was luckily delivered on Saturday, so I shouldn't be affected as badly as higher-volume sellers like OP who will now have to deal with OTDR (despite being exempt under the written policy) on top of everything else.

I'm not in the SFP programme - the same Sunday delivery issue you're having with SFP orders is affecting my Standard (Non-Premium, Non-Prime) FBM orders despite Sunday being set as a 'No Delivery' day for Standard orders in my account level preferences.

SO, after seeing that the few that had DPD as priority and they do not show up as Sunday delivery on amazon so I’ve changed my priority from royal mail to DPD so when it takes the order it will prioritise DOPD shipping over Royal mail for the delivery promise but I can still sue which ever service I choose to ship!

We are having the same problem with our SFP. Some orders that are showing for dispatch on Sunday are showing as Sunday delivery.

I have looked into it and before Easter every single SFP order that came in for dispatch on Saturday was a 'Second Day' SFP order. Now we are seeing 'One Day Delivery' SFP orders coming in for dispatch on Saturday which is giving us a Sunday delivery promise. This means we are being forced to send items as Tracked 24 Parcels (which are now delivered Sunday) instead of Tracked 24 Large Letters (which are not delivered on Sunday).

It would be interesting to know if yours and anyone else Saturday SFP orders follow this pattern. Before Easter did you have any SFP 'One Day Delivery' orders coming in?

I have spoked to Seller Support who are stating that it is a new fulfilment promise that all seller must do but I do not believe this to be true. The same issue presented itself last year and eventually got fixed.

Orders will have no negative effect on your OTDR when fulfilled using all three of Amazon’s automation tools:

I have now figured out the issue, seller support was useless and knew nothing but after checking with orders sent it turns out that they have been using royal mail as my 1st carrier choice and they have them as delivery on Sundays. so if your ssa settings and shipping settings have royal mail as priority then Sunday is a delivery day no matter what you have set up on your delivery settings (Prime only).

Fingers crossed¬!
