Customer address wrong
Amazon made a mistake and left a line out of the customer’s address.
Unsurprisingly my customer did not receive her book.
Do I have to refund the customer or will Amazon refund the customer?

I doubt if Amazon made a mistake. The customer probably didn’t enter their address correctly. It could be that they missed of part of it intentionally knowing that what they did enter was sufficient for the parcel to be delivered and for them to claim it wasn’t.

Amazon just present to you what the buyer adds as the delivery address, if a mistake it’s the buyer who made it, so you would be responsible for any refund for INR.
But if not delivered due to incorrect address, then normally it would be returned to you?

All Royal Mail need is house number/name and postcode, not sure about other couriers. The sorting office can often get the parcel to the right destination using local knowledge.

As the others have said, it is not Amazon’s error, they just give you the address as input by the customer.
How do you know a line was missed out ? Who said ? Was it the customer ? If so, if they didn’t receive it, how do they know it was missed out ?!
…and as also said, as long as the postie has the postcode and house name or number it should get there.

Are you absolutely certain the line was missing when the parcel was sent? I.e. can you remember that line being missing or can you see in your records the address that it was sent to?
Remember Amazon remove this information from shipped orders after some time. So if you have just gone into the order now and looked at their address then it will of course be wrong. It may have been right when you sent it though.
