Why does it take 3-4 working days for payments to arrive?
I have requested a disbursement on the 24th which was a Sunday. Amazon payments disbursements screen stated that my bank acknowledged it on the 25th but I then contacted my bank, the transaction is nowhere to be seen, even with the Transaction ID provided by Amazon, so the hold up is at Amazon’s end. Why is Amazon not doing a same day payments in 2021? those payments don’t cost more.

Its always been this way. They did trial faster payments a couple of years ago but there were some mistakes and then no more talk of it.
Its daft because eu payments from amazon go in same day

Been like for ever ! - no reason why they can’t in this day and age, except they probably making millions on the interest !

It’s just one of those strange anomalies. If you disbursed on Sunday, you will receive it on tomorrow (Thursday). Presumably you are not able to manually disburse at will, like us oldie sellers can so you get automatic disbursements, according to the schedule that Amazon provide? If so, and you haven’t had many disbursements yet, this might help you work things out in future:
For most (not all) UK banks:
Disbursement Day = D / Receipt into Bank Day = R
Monday (D) Friday R
Tuesday (D) Monday R
Wednesday (D) Tuesday R
Now comes the fun
Thursday (D) Tuesday R
Friday (D) Wednesday R
Saturday (D) Wednesday R
Sunday (D) Thursday R)
Naturally, where bank holidays are involved, you move forward by a day.
This is how the schedule has always worked for us, always, never changes, and this is with manual disbursements on a daily basis.

I disburse daily, I don’t regularly check but there has been quite a few occasions I have had 2 or 3 payments on the same day, don’t know if some are early or some are late.

What I don’t understand is why, in 2021, Amazon can’t do FastPayments instead of BACS.
