Sending Hazardous Goods
I am trying to ship Hazardous goods into Amazon (I am a seller using Amazon FBA). I am currently using an Amazon accredited carrier, but the carrier is telling me that I have to book a delivery slot with the Amazon fulfilment centre (XLP1) directly and then to tell the carrier the delivery time / slot and delivery reference number. I normally send inventory in through Amazon seller central and I do not know how to contact the FC for a delivery slot / time. Any help would be graciously received.

You need to use a different carrier.
You don’t say whether your shipping pallets or boxes.
If pallets, then try looking at Palletonline.
If boxes, then someone like DPD.
If you have to book through the CARP system yourself, then it’s not exactly the easiest of things to do.
It is possible, but the carrier may need to spend a night waiting for the slot you book and if they are not familiar with the system, they will probably not wait.
Best to use one who is familiar with the system.
