Brand is moving all listings to 'Apply to sell', will my existing listings require approval?
I am having issues selling a certain brand. I have around 5 listings of these branded products. I received an email today stating
“Effective 2022-10-22, you will need approval to list the affected products. If you do not obtain approval by this date, your listings will be removed. This action does not impact your account health.”
Does this mean my stock of these products will become ineligible for sale if I do not submit information by the date, or does it mean I cannot list new items of this brand? I’ve noticed to list these products I now need to apply to sell however I cannot find an indication of issues with my existing listings on seller central.
I have no issue submitting information for approval but there doesn’t seem to be an option to do so. Maybe this option will become available tomorrow? Either way I obviously don’t want to be unable to sell
Thanks.

Try editing a listing, you might get a popup telling you you need to apply for brand approval, it will have the link

Not sure what is going on but I’m not able to create any new listing under my own brand. We have received brand approval from amazon some time back, also GTIN exemption so no need for product ID. Now I keep getting and error 5461 and tried to make an aplication but I have no idea what else amazon wants. First they replied everything ok and I can list new asins but it didn’t work and error kep poping out. We have trade mark registered but haven’t applied for brand registry yet (do I need brand approval again for brand registry?). I have a trade mark but cant list product under my brand…

Wasn’t an invoice I had to submit, it was a photograph of the product to prove it was branded with the brand on the listing.

In my experience, what this generally means is the brand has jumped into bed with Amz, and now all sellers will be unable to list that brands products (or a section of products given exclusivity to Amz themselves)
- What’s the brand?
- Is it Noughty?
- Because I believe a number of sellers are having similar issues with that brand. Surprised you have only got effectively zero days notice?

I have checked a few ASINs from this brand randomly and these are mostly sold by amazon. That is the problem which will be growing. You create the listing. You invest your money to make pictures, descriptions and probably PPC to gain some reviews. And then amazon comes with “it is profitable, let’s jump on that listing”.
