Valid tracking rate issue
Hi, using my dads account and asking on his behalf, he has a sellers account on here and always shipped his items through royal mail click and drop on the 48 hour service, he noticed his account health dropping so spoke to amazon who said for him to buy postage through them, which he does, normally things go as a small parcel or first class, but even since buying all postage through amazon his health is it 63%, everytime we call up they just read policies and generic things we can look up oursleves, we just need to know how to fix its causing him a lot of stress…

How long has he been buying through Amazon Buy Shipping?
It will take about 6 weeks for the VTR to clear out old items that were purchased on Click and Drop, in the meantime it will probably be exempting items that he bought through buy shipping, so it will make his VTR look even worse until it eventually clears.

Hello @C_S_Products_Garment,
Virgil here to assist.
Based on your post, we understand that you are concerned about the Valid Tracking Rate dropping below the threshold of greater than 95%, even though you are using amazon shipping.
The Valid Tracking Rate (VTR) is all shipments with a valid tracking number as a percentage of total shipments during a given 30-day time period. VTR only applies to seller fulfilled orders.
Customers depend on tracking IDs to find out where their orders are and when they can expect to receive them. Order shipments without a tracking ID can negatively affect the customer experience and lead to increased claims, negative feedback and customer contacts. For our sellers, providing valid tracking IDs reduces buyer contacts, order defects, lost order costs and A-to-z Guarantee claims.
A package that does not include verified tracking information will have value as “No” in the “Has Valid Tracking Number” column of your VTR report. If you have uploaded a tracking number but it is marked as unconfirmed, this might be because of the following:
- The tracking ID you provided is incorrect.
- Your tracking number is correct, but it is not associated with the carrier you specified. For example, if you use “DHL” to ship a package but enter “FedEx” as the carrier name, the tracking information will be marked as unconfirmed.
- You used a non-integrated carrier that is not listed in the “Carrier” drop-down list in “Confirm dispatch” section on “Order details” page. As a result, we cannot verify the tracking status and therefore the shipment does not count towards your VTR. For more information about the list of exempted shipments for VTR calculation, go to Valid Tracking Rate (VTR).
- The tracking number was uploaded after the order has been delivered. This means that it was not useful to the customer and does not count towards your VTR.
Ensure that you have entered the carrier and tracking ID for your package correctly. You can change, re-enter and update the tracking information under “Manage orders” until the order has been delivered. Your metrics will reflect this change within 72 hours.
If you have a package marked as “No” in the “Has Valid Tracking Number” column and you have verified that the tracking ID for the Amazon-supported carrier is correct, try submitting the tracking ID again. If this does not solve your issue, contact Selling Partner Support for additional investigation.

Furthermore, in order to get an in-depth understanding of your issue, we would request you to kindly post the screenshot of the VTR Report.

Best Regards,
Virgil.

Presuming you mean his VTR is 63%, not actual Account Health ?
As Dedez said, it will take a few weeks before the VTR will see a positive effect from using Buy Shipping, as the calculation is based on the PDD (promised delivery date) of the shipments and not the date purchased or sent. Currently, today, the calculation is for shipments with a PDD of 19 Apr - 18 May, it is a rolling 30 days, so each day he should find more dropping off and the VTR will start to rise.
Unfortunately, that is always what happens, and as you will see even above, the forum mod has just done the same !!
Much of what has been quoted above is irrelevant for you.
If you dad continues to use Buy Shipping his VTR will gradually improve.
I mostly use Buy Shipping and have 100% VTR - N/A is also fine.
Hope that puts his mind at rest !
