Proofing incorrect brand name without test order
When an item is incorrectly branded on amazon I usually just make a test order from the specific seller who’s claiming ownership of the brand then send the evidence to amazon to correct.
I’ve had an email from the so-called owner of the brand with a cease and desist, however on this occasion they are not selling on the listing for me to make the test order. I do not know what their angle is here. They’re usually trying to kick everyone else off this listing but not this time.
How do i have the listing brand name corrected without a test order as evidence?

Can’t you just try to correct the listing without the test buy?
Submit your desired changes with the link to the manufacturers website etc to back up your request.

The standard process, if you don’t have the listing control is to open a case with the Seller Support under “Products and Inventory” - “Product page issue” and “Fix a product page”.
You will be asked to provide some proof supporting your desired updates, such as a link to the manufacturer’s website and if they accept the changes, only then they will be reflected on the site.

You can search on IPO to see if he has the trademark for the item, but if you have any reason to be concerned then perhaps you do not have permission to sell that item.
