Will cancelling an order due to the buyer having an undeliverable address result in a defect to the seller account?
More generally, which cancellation reasons can cause a defect on the account and which cancellation reasons do not leave a defect on the account?

Any time you cancel an order you will get a defect - unless the customer specifically sends an email headed ‘order cancellation request’

Yes, it will. I have received defects for cancelling orders that the buyers requested but didn’t go through the Amazon cancellation email route. It does not always seem appropriate to go back to buyer to ask them to send another request they Amazon will accept. I’ve had two this week.
