I want to sell beads
Hi I wonder if anyone can help, I have tried talking to seller support but didn’t really get anywhere.
I have had a Amazon seller account for approx 9 years with no issues. I make my own natural gemstone jewellery and when Amazon handmade came in years back I started to sell all my bits on there. I now want to sell jewellery making supplies on the main Amazon site using my same account but when I try to list it says I need to have a brand registration to list beads etc. I don’t have a trademark. I bought some EAN numbers which are verified but can’t get past the brand issue. So can’t list. I buy my beads from wholesalers in India and China and America, they aren’t branded, as do many other sellers of beads on Amazon I assume. It has taken me years to find good suppliers that sell good quality, natural beads, I will only sell what I am happy to use myself. Am I doing something wrong or do I really have to go down the route of applying for a trademark? I do sell on another handmade site and sales are picking up but as I already sell successfully on Amazon and like the platform, I would also like to see them on here. Thx in advance.

You could apply for a GTIN exemption

I noticed this as well, trying to list a new product with a brand name which is not registered on brand registry. - it says no you must have brand registry. This means a registered trademark. I am in the process of regsitering the said name and spoke with someone at the IPO and they advised that there has been a spike in registrations. Possibly to do with what amazon are wanting you to do with Brand names.
