Amazon Listings are showing incorrect delivery times

Dear All,

Hope you are well and staying safe.

Our shipping templates for UK clearly show 2-3 days delivery for every region. This is the lowest level of delivery time we can physically show. Our handling time is also showing as 1 day.

However, on the listing it does NOT reflect, it shows like a 10+ working day delivery time frame.

However, when a customer places an order, the order comes into seller central with a delivery time of 2-3 days which we have to abide by.

Issue is, our competitors are getting accurate delivery times coming through of 2-3 days on their listings and as a result of that, we are really losing out sales drastically. Our sales have dropped by 60% since this issue arose.

Raised it with seller support, but unfortunately they were no help. They stated it is because of the pandemic, Amazon is increased delivery windows, but why is this not happening for our competitor, when we are using the very same shipping methods, we are based in similar parts of the country too.

Our international shipping seems to work correctly.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

The delivery options/dates etc shown on the front end is based on the address Amazon see YOU as being. So for example, have you edited the NEW updated templates that Amazon applied last week?

Log out of Amazon, then look at your listings, are you seeing the same dates?

This started happening last year to lots of sellers
it was reported that it was to do with your local royal mail depot reporting delays to amazon at your local depot

You may also want to check your ODR as that can add time onto your delivery dates shown to customers

EDIT - i notice you have another thread at the moment for a large number of a-z cases - that could also be the reason

Is this a variation listing? Check that the handling time in the parent is 1 and so is each variation.

Ok Ive just modifed one of my cheap listings, £24.95 which had long delays on it shipping wise, over a week. Just checked despatch was at 1 day, 2-3 day on the shipping template, and put the weight at 5kg, now its showing estimated delivery on the public page as April 30th.

Yes, in the product listing enter a weight, try 5kg

It will be due to the all the negative feedbacks you have received for late/slow/lost deliveries. Amazons AI/bot has extended your EDD for a period of time. Avoid getting any more bad feedback or late delivery messages and it will go back to normal.

Hi All,

Could this delivery time issue potentially be happening because our third party software when shipping orders does NOT put a ship from address?

Hence Amazon is thinking we are potentially shipping not from the UK and increase our standard delivery times?

However, it is worth noting our faster delivery options, their times are correct.

Thanks a lot.

I thought the Ship From address was compulsory now? I think it’s set in the settings somewhere. I know you can set it in the Buy shipping preferences but think there is also another place to set it.
