Sending to Amazon fulfillment centers in Europe

Hi Everyone,

I am looking to send my items to other fulfilment centers in europe.

I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with this, I am from the UK and want to send to france, germany, italy and spain.

What is your experience with this?

What company did you use to send your items to the centres?

Was there any issues?

Was there any import duty to be paid?

Some will provide a lot more detailed info and there are several threads but the first questions would be

Are you vat registered in UK
Are you vat registered in the EU countries you wish to store stock in
Are you registered for EPR ?
Do you have an importer of record and fiscal rep in Germany ?

I know you are all trying to help the OP but there is a basic misunderstanding here and they are not helping the situation by the fact that they don’t understand the basics of PanEU nor (probably) have they read the help documents and policies.

As far as I have understood from the drip drip information, they are not registered for VAT in UK or any country in EU. So I can’t see how they can be registered for PanEU.

When they understand that this is a basic requirement for PanEU, we can move forward with specific points they are unsure of.

There is a good reason why a great many sellers do not subscribe to PanEU. I fail to see how a company turning over less that the UK vat threshold can even consider trading in the EU via PanEU. The costs of VAT registration and maintenance are enormous and a certain level of turnover/profit is needed to justify it.

That’s my opinion, of course, maybe some sellers can overcome these issues and still be profitable but the VAT issue is one that needs to be understood by the OP (and EPR).

Just to add to what @PeterB has said about the tax implications , I see from your storefront you sell LED lights therefore you need to look at WEEE regulations and lighter flints - are these hazmat ?
