Company name change
Just a quick question, I’m looking to change my company name (Ltd company) on companies house, but just wanted to double check that the below doesn’t apply to me (as I’m sure company reg. number doesn’t change when I change my company name?):
" If you intend to change your company registration number and your company name, you may be attempting to transfer your account to a different company. If this is the case, please go to [Transfer Account] in the “Business Information section” and complete the self-service process. Submitting KYC information for a new company without first transferring the account may result in delays to verification and/or suspension/closure of your account."
If this doesn’t apply, I assume I can just change the “Legal Business Name” section and continue as usual?

Yes that’s all you need to do. I did this at the start of the year. You just need to update your legal business name.
Please note it did force me through re-verification. I needed to provide the change of name certificate, latest shareholder information and a bank statement with the new company name on it.
I did my update the day I did the company name change but couldn’t then withdraw funds for over a week as it took that long to get the bank to update the name change and provide me with an updated bank statement.
