'Arrived damaged' scam?
Had a few of these recently, same pattern every time, anyone else?
Buyer contacts Amazon - not us directly - and says simply ‘Item Damaged’
Amazon emails us to let us know, we contact buyer offering replacement or refund, but requesting photo so we can take it up with carrier.
No response from buyer, we try again, no response. We send prepaid return label to the address, with enclosed letter saying ’ we’ve been trying to contact you, please return item for refund or replacement’
No response form buyer…
We call Seller Support, ask them if they can contact buyer.
Within a few hours customer opens A to Z claim. We email again, still no contact.
In Amazons defence they have funded one of the refunds themselves as it was acknowledged that we did as much as we could.
However the fact that the pattern is exactly the same on numerous occasions makes me wonder if there is a set of instructions on some forum somewhere…!
Anyone getting similar?

A quick google search revealed lots of forums etc suggesting how to get Amazon stuff for free, including suggestions on how many times you can get away with it… I guess they are mainly aimed at getting free stuff from Amazon itself but I don’t suppose the scammers make the distinction between Amazon and marketplace sellers.
