How do I verify UK seller account without passport?

As per title - I’ve been at the same address in the UK for over 20 years and had an Amazon account all that time - yet I cannot verify who I am (According to Amazon) as I don’t have a passport. I have a photo driving license and numerous other ways to identify myself, yet the only dropdown option is to add passport info. I sell on a few other platforms without issue, why is this so exasperatingly hard to do? Any advice, or do I just give up and continue to sell elsewhere?

Unfortunately, seller support has so far failed to help - I’m told a UK photo driving license is ok, but keep being directed to the same page over and over where the ONLY option is to input a passport number.

The other issue hindering any progression here is that when customer support replies - I can’t reply back telling them the info provided is useless, as it’s always a ‘no reply’ email address - I cannot get a simple 2-way conversation going to try to sort out what should be a really really simple issue. I have no problems selling on other platforms, but trying to sort out Amazon is just driving me utterly mad!

I’ve seen issues where once passport is selected for some reason, any other option to verify is not available.

You could try emailing seller-verification-enquiry@amazon.co.uk and ask if they can enable the driving license option for verification - or enquire why it is not available to you when it is an approved method of Amazon identity verification.
