Is this a New Amazon Reimbursement fraud. ??

I was just reviewing my FBA reimbursement reports and started to wonder why the amounts seem so off for "Customer Did Not Return" cases.

Here’s a breakdown of my calculations:

Sale Price: £19.99

Refund to Customer: £19.99

Amazon Commission (Refund):

£0.61 Seller Fee

£2.74 FBA Fee

Amazon Reimbursement (paid to me):

£13.04

So, after seller fees, I am left with £9.69, while Amazon has profited £10.30.

According to Amazon's policy:

“If we elect to reimburse you for a customer return claim, the value of the reimbursement is based on the refund or replacement given to the customer on your FBA order. If Amazon refunded or replaced an item on your FBA order, we calculate the reimbursement value as the refund amount or the price of the replacement item on the original order minus applicable fees and VAT.”

I have an open case regarding this issue, but it has been transferred, and based on previous experiences with similar cases, they rarely respond.

I’ve reviewed about 30 similar reimbursements, and they all follow this pattern. It might be a small loss for me, but if this is happening to all sellers, it could amount to millions.

It’s worth checking your reimbursements.
