Unfulfillable inventory - 1 Expired unit
Hi guys,
I received a notice in regards to unfulfillable inventory.
Apparently my product is expired? Which is strange considering it should have a 2 year shelf life.
“Total unfulfillable inventory: 1 Units” does this mean only 1 single unit is expired? How could that be possible if all of my units were sent in at the same time.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Creating a removal order is your only option. Are there any dates on the product? Many have an issue with a manufacture date being confused with the expiration date.

As mentioned by JWS, this could happen from 1 complaint where the customer read the lot or Mfg number by mistake, or it was from a past return or older batch that somehow made its way into stock.
It could also be a mistake from the supplier; one item slipped through, which would call the entire batch into question.
Go to ➙ Remove inventory from a fulfillment center and follow the instructions.

It’s likely a mistake at FBA. From time to time, FBA will say a couple units of ours came in to them expired. Obviously impossible bc we only ship full case packs from the same lot and nothing goes to FBA with less than 32 months on it.
Remove that 1 unit and have it sent back. You’ll probably find it’s 100% fine and not expired.
We have them damaged when this happens and write them off as a loss.
Just another fun thing that happens when you put your business in the hands of another you can’t control. FBA has it’s positives and negatives. For us, the positives well outweigh the negatives. Stuff happens.
