Converting a customer order from FBM to FBA

An order created as FBM, and ordered by a customer as such, now requires conversion to FBA. So the customer order is pending shipment, but now requires conversion to FBA. Is this possible without cancelling the order, and if not, should I instruct the customer (having paid already) to some action?

Please note that order’s fulfillment method cannot be switched on request.

You could place a Multi-Channel Fulfillment Order out of your FBA inventory.
