Automated returns with Hermes label provided

Can anyone tell me how long it takes for Hermes to deliver a return thats been automated by Amazon please? I know it depends when its collected / dropped off, but both of mine say that Hermes have them - one id 15 days old and the other is 20 days old. My concern is that the customers start asking for their refunds soon but I do not have the goods back yet. Also, how do Amazon show the charge for the return - which we are paying for now? Where can I find that please? TIA

All Hermes returns are automatically marked as collected, with many never actually being returned by the customer. You won’t be charged unless it’s actually scanned.

Just wanted to say I have the same issue. Parcel marked as picked up on the 12th November and I can’t even use the tracking number on Hermes’ website to find out where it is because they don’t recognise it.

Plus it’s a load of crap that customers can just say description wasn’t accurate and get a paid return at our expense when they just didn’t read the description fully.

Do we know what the actual policy is - or is this another T&CS say one thing but the CS reps do as they see fit?

I wouldn’t mind but out of the 3 returns I’ve had ALL 3 were genuinely not my fault. The 1st that I refunded without return bought a 10ml item and said “I did read that bit I thought you’d send a big bottle for that price (£4)”. She was a lovely old lady as it happens and called me so I just returned her.

This seems ‘next level’ bonkers 🤦

So these 2 returns are 2 weeks old now. Not received either back yet. If/when I do, do I refund in full or deduct the postage cost that I will be charged (£3.30??) or will I not be charged postage due to the reasons the customers have given? TIA
