I have just logged into my seller account and see the above banner “Thank you for providing us the required information. Your account is being verified, and we will get back to you if we require additional information.”

I never provided information (was never asked to) my bank account details are as they should be and my password are OK. I have not been hacked. Why do I have this spurious banner?? Now time to leave Amazon, now and for good. @Jessica what is going on???

I believe that it’s connected with the new UK law, which requires some sellers to have a valid VAT number in their account. I think that you will have your account verified within a few hours.

I had the same banner in my account yesterday, now it’s already gone and account is fully active.

Been selling on Amazon for years now they tell me they need verification, ive sent them verification and they say it doesnt match the info they have but it does, they ask me for a veriification code to sign in when im already signed in, its pure micky mouse, no way to contact a human being, its becoming a joke like youtube.

A bit of advice please, I am a new seller about 6 months, I was asked for verification docs last week Tuesday, HM letter and Bank statement I provided them the same day, a few days later my account got suspended with no reason why and no performance notification. I spoke to customer service and they said the verification team have put a hold on my account and it can take a few days but up to 10 days to verify

I spoke to customer service who advised I should send some older Bank statements and utility bill as well, which I have done, customer service are saying it could take up to 48 hours for my account to be verified and the verification team sent a email saying they will try to do as soon as possible but can’t commit to how long it will take I do understand they are very busy.

My concern is last month to grow my business I have taken out a loan where the 28 days cooling off period expires next week, what do you think I should do cancel the loan and repay the money, or wait it out for the verification to complete as right now I don’t have any penalties to pay if I cancel the loan as by reading on the forum it could take a few months to verify

My stock is on FBA do you think I will still be paying storage for them while the verification is going on?

A update Account is still being verified, Money on Low and Rent is Due, 4 Weeks will pass on Tuesday and the same Automated reply from the verification team where they can’t give a time limit on the time take to verify. Started to look for a Job as don’t want to end up Homeless! waiting for the verification team
