Profit and loss?

Hi All,

is there anyone that help me with providing a profit and loss excel sheet with all relevant amazon fees etc included?
I’m struggling to work exactly I am making on a monthly basis. I have asked my accountant to try and provide me with profit loss sheet but he said they don’t provide one. I’m looking to move from my Current accountant anyway but just wondered if any of the sellers on here would be kind of to offer me template I could use.

thanks

No offence, but an accountant isn’t going to give you that.
Why not just sit down and work it out? It’s not that difficult to do and will ensure that you have a proper understanding of the fees etc.

I for one couldn’t work out what I’m making on a single line, without a spreadsheet of some sort.
If you want to know your overall profit, then the accountant should be able to tell you that.

Does your accountant not give you access to your accounting reports on their accounting software?

If your accountant isn’t willing to send you a PDF of.your profit and loss I would wonder if they have even done your accounts…

I do all of my own accounts and I just log in to my accounting software -> reports -> profit & loss.

If I may criticise you here… I wouldn’t put a price on any of my products unless I knew I was making a profit. In other words, if you calculate your profit at the price you set before you sell any, you will always be in profit.

Hope that helps?

Edit: to actually answer your question, if you go to reports -> payments -> transaction view… You’ll see all the account movements, so all the fees you’re paying etc… That could be an alternative but I would definitely want to know why your accountant can’t print or email a profit & loss.

Normally you’ll have your accounts set up on… Say, QuickBooks, then you give your accountant access to your accounts, so you can ALWAYS see what’s going on and check your reports.

Hi sorry for the delay in responding.

thank for all the feedback. I know what I make on the items that’s not the issue. I just wanted to know how much profit i make after all expneses each month. so I know where my business is going month to month. so if I had a spread sheet that has all relevant income/expenses I have better Idea.

thanks

Your accountant may have a recommended software package.

Ours recommends Sage. So we use it for the accounts… I don’t really like it, but accountant does and it keeps her fees low.

Hi Ennwhywhy

Have you looked at Payments: Date Range Reports? This produces an Excel report by Month (if you wish) with your Az sales, prices and the payments they make to you. It also shows the Monthly Fee (if it’s appliccable to you).

It doesn’t show the cost of your items but I would hope you can insert a column to show these

If you’ve already looked at this, please accept my apologies for ‘sucking eggs’

All Best

Brian
