[Moderator Edit: removed inappropriate commentary] Press Send Again: 'Branded offers to be removed on September 16, 2025'

received 2 emails saying the above; this eve, from amazon IT. See one below in italics underlined As ever, ambiguous and somewhat disturbing. The bottom says 'HP' (hewlett packard). Thing is, we don't sell electronics , nor HP, and neither do we sell 3rd party brands, just our own (food items).

Anyone else received this message type? was it just a [Moderator Edit: removed inappropriate commentary] pressing send or something to be more worried about?

Thanks

Dear Seller,

Your branded listings require additional September 16, 2025 supply chain documentation to continue selling on Amazon.it. After this date, offers without valid documentation will be deactivated and you will not be able to create new offers for these products.

What is the reason for this decision?

We are taking this action to ensure that only safe and authentic products are sold in our store. We require sellers to demonstrate a consistent supply of inventory from verifiable suppliers. At this time, we don't have enough information about your supply chain to confirm that you meet these requirements. Our review identified potential customer complaints, authenticity issues, or violations associated with its offerings. This decision was taken on the basis of the results of an analysis carried out partly by human verification and partly by automated systems.

For more information on product restrictions and authorization requirements, please see the "Categories and Products Subject to Amazon Authorization" help page.

How do I continue to sell these products?

To continue selling these products, complete these steps by September 16, 2025:

1. Use the "Add a Product" tool in Seller Central

2. Search for the product you want to sell

3. In the search results, click the Request Sales Authorization link next to the item

4. Click "Request Authorization" next to the product

5. Please submit the following documentation:

a. Copies of your supplier's invoices issued in the last 180 days with a minimum of 100 units

b. Contact information of your supplier, including company name, phone number, address (if applicable), email, and website

Send documents in .pdf, .jpg, .png or .gif format. It can remove pricing information, but all other details must be visible. We may contact the supplier to verify the documents. Contact the supplier information will remain confidential.

You can continue to sell your current inventory for these products until the date you are scheduled to send them. After this date, if you have not provided the required documentation and have inventory with FBA, you will need to create a removal order to request the return, disposal, or donation of the inventory.

What happens if I don't take the above actions?

After this date, we will remove these listings and you will not be able to list these products until you have provided the necessary documentation.

Have your products been incorrectly identified?

If you believe that we have identified your products incorrectly, please submit a dispute through the "View Selling Authorization Requests" dashboard in Seller Central.

We're here to help

If you have any questions, please contact Sales Partner Support.

Hello,

That is the reply I got from the customer service:

" I see. If you're not selling any Sony or HP branded products, you can safely disregard the message you received. That notification was sent broadly to all EU sellers as a precautionary update, not as a direct action required for your account. "

The only reason I can see that Amazon will remove your branded listings on Italy (France ....etc..) is that you haven't uploaded the manufacturer and EU responsable person details in the safety images and contacts section for any of your products.

Nothing to do with HP as far as I can see, but definitely a reason to remove the listings as non compliant.

Good Evening @Seller_tz5M9iHaTDZFk,

While the experience of getting an email notification that may not apply to your store can be a frustrating experience, please refrain from the usage of offensive language as this is a public facing forums and we would like to ensure the Community Guidelines are being followed.

Regarding this notification that many sellers below have mentioned receiving, I have gone ahead and reached out to our internal teams to review this email notification and see if we can get some visibility as to why it was shared with sellers who may not be listing the respective brands mentioned on the Performance Notification. I will follow up with everyone once I hear back from the team. Thank you for your patience while this is being looked into and have a great rest of the day.

Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon

We received this email just now (Sunday 07th Sept) from Amazon.UK and Amazon.FR.

We only sell on Amazon.UK.

It is a bit concerning how Amazon communicates and treats sellers on Amazon marketplace platform. On one aspect, Amazon terms sellers as "selling partners", however reality is treatment of sellers is all via threats, bullying.

On this instance, unfortunately the comms is not targeted to contact a specific group of sellers, but a mass comms to all sellers, which worries all sellers.

We are in the clothing and fashion industry and the brands impacted are "HP, SONY". No where near to what we sell. Contacting Indian contact centres is another issue, they don't understand even a word of what we say.

After having a second set of eyes read the emails, it can be interpreted that it's only something to bother about if you actually do sell the brands mentioned. Obviously the question would be why not get emails for all the other brands in the world that you're required to prove you don't sell, but still...

Until the date arrives It's just another typical threatening and stress inducing email from AMZ

I wanted to stop by and clarify the notice you received a few weeks ago. Here is what the partner team followed up with:

"Our records show that you were previously granted approval to sell certain brands on our platform, regardless of whether you have active listings for these products. To maintain or activate your selling privileges for these brands, you'll need to submit a new application through our Seller Central portal. This update helps us ensure product authenticity and provide the best possible experience for our customers.

Please note: Your current approval status for these brands will be suspended until a new application is reviewed and approved. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible to avoid any potential disruption to your future selling plans.

Thank you for your cooperation and continued partnership. We appreciate your understanding as we work to improve our marketplace for both sellers and customers."

If you have never applied to sell these products or sold them before without a selling application, please ignore the notice you received as no further action is required on your end. Apologies for the confusion and I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon

Note to Amz admins - please stop with all the spammy emails. including nl. fr. de es. pl. etc etc

Glad to see we aren't alone in receiving this email.

There's us thinking we're about to have all our listings deactivated.

Amazon: please issue a response to this ASAP.

Good Evening @Seller_tz5M9iHaTDZFk, @Seller_VpTps3nNkV8hZ, @Seller_LwTXNUY9wyKmj, @Seller_loEV4365m0Vd7, @Seller_wji8wgzhAH8ra, @Seller_d8Jy8m7vsJ9bJ, @Seller_0VOpuaMlnPkFc,
