Read onlyHi All,
I am trying to add a new BRANDED product which already has four (x4) other listings on Amazon. These four other listings are showing as GENERIC but the product is clearly branded. I was approved to sell this item by Amazon but when I try and add it to my inventory by using the "Sell This Product" drop down tab it gives me an ERROR message. But if I use the "Copy & List" option on the same drop down tab it then seemingly allows me to proceed with filling in the details.
I don't want to get into trouble for listing something I am not supposed to. And yet, there are two methods and one of them seems to works and the other doesn't.
Does anyone know how to resolve this or confirm if its legit to proceed with listing it for sale?
you won’t be able to list on any of the generic listings as you in theory aren’t supposed to be able to make changes to or list on another sellers generic listing.
The correct approach is to find the branded listing (using the barcode to search if one exists) or create a correctly branded new listing
Hello @Seller_tk36mgJl1IjE1,
Here Simon from Amazon, happy to help.
Would you mind sharing the Error message you receive when trying to add the product to your inventory?
Best,
Simon
