Hello friends, I live in Canada and have a seller account in CANADA and UK FBA. 2 years ago I registered for a UK account and after 2-3 months I got notifications to provide the VAT number. However as I did not register my business because of not having too many sales, I cannot apply for a VAT number because they ask for a business license.

So, for the last 22 months, I have been paying them around $50/month for my FBA storage. Because of not having a VAT number, I can't return my inventory, and can't deactivate my account.

the plan is already individual. But charges are for FBA Storage. And because I don't have a VAT number neither can I deactivate my account nor destroy/return my FBA storage products.

Do you guys have any solution to stop charges or deactivate my UK account except by providing a VAT number?

I have my UK VAT number from HMRC but amazon has also asked me to get a German VAT number, my 90 days deadline is finished but i have gone to my accountant 2 days ago and he has applied for the german Vat number for me and said this will take another 2 months to get the german Vat. Will it be possible to get an extension because i do not want my account to be suspended i will only trade on amazon UK as i have my UK Vat number and once i receive my german vat number i will start trading on amazon germany. Please guide me in this matter

I am an overseas seller and declared as Non-UK established business but LTD is registered in UK. Amazon acts as market facilitator for VAT collection and deducts 20% VAT on all of my sales. However, no VAT is deducted on amazon fee.

Question is: if I register for VAT and provide VAT number to Amazon, what will be the difference in VAT deduction. Is amazon going to deduct VAT on fee also.? and later I have to claim it form HMRC.? Please share your experience if someone has added the VAT number and saw VAT deduction in Fee also.

Reason of adding a VAT number is to get Auto receipt/invoice generation activated for business customers. As of now I send receipts manually within 24hrs of order dispatch.
