Question about Using Amazon Buy shipping and buyer not getting item

If using amazon Buy Shipping and the item shows scanned on time but ends up delayed/lost in transit should we tell the customer to open an A to Z claim?

Are we covered with Buy shipping for items that get stuck in transit?

Any helpo would be appreciated

Yes, you are covered for packages that are at least 3 days after the latest estimated delivery date or that the buyer claims they didn't receive but show as delivered.

Hello @Seller_QbjrHfOjxA4bM As @Seller_DdmPiA1p1S2Wu mentioned, if you purchase Amazon's Buy Shipping and ship on time, you are protected against claims where a customer reports problems with delivery. Amazon will cover the cost of these claims and they will not affect your Order Defect Rate.

According to Amazon's policy you are covered for (1) shipments delayed/lost in transit and (2) Shipments scanned as delivered but the customer claims they did not receive the shipment.

When a customer files an A to Z Claim for one of the two reasons I listed above, I can tell you from personal experience that in the case of (1) Amazon will cover the cost of the A to Z claim about 40% of the time and in the case of (2) Amazon will cover the cost of the A to Z claim about 100% of the time.

We have this exact issue with over half a dozen orders, all large items, all shipped on Amazon shipping...one UPS and the others USPS, they also say 'delayed in transit' and all on either June 6 or June 10...something very fishy going on with Amazon shipping right now...we just send them all to Amazon to file a claim, this is Amazon's problem and we are supposed to be covered...we'll see how many they actually pay....

Amazon does show 'delayed in transit' on all of these orders but gives no location, what would cause them to do that?

That information is based on the tracking details provided by the carriers. You mentioned that the tracking for those orders also show delays in transit, which can have many different causes.

If you have the tracking numbers you should be able to inquire about those shipments.
