Parcel sent “signed for”, buyer said- it’s not my signature!

I send all parcels with tracking number.
2 days ago, buyer messaged me about non received parcel. I sent tracking number and proof of Signature from Royal Mail. Buyer messaged me back and said - “It’s no my signature”!
Any experience?

Two things in play here…

Firstly, it’s nigh on impossible to get a proper signature on most of those hand held devices couriers use.
Secondly, how would the courier even know if the person had signed with their usual signature anyway?

Did you enter the tracking number at the time of dispatch? If not Amazon will automatically refund the buyer if they make an INR claim.

So long as you have proof that the parcel was delivered to the address provided by the buyer, you will be ok.
Doesn’t need to be the buyers signature.

Seems to be an awful lot of this going on … Ive had several but Amazon refunded at their cost.
I think its the latesst scam buyers use personally Faceless buying brings out the worst in some sadly

Had the same recently.

Amazon asked for proof of signature, customers address name etc, we got this from the carrier provided it to amazon.

Amazon stated they “We have refunded the customer but have not held you accountable for the claim amount. No further action is required from you.”

Yet we still get a defect on our account!!

Perhaps it’s the postman’s signature?

The issue is not the signature, but if delivered to the address, RM can check GPS tracking when scanned on delivery and confirm if left at the correct address.

Some couriers take a photograph of the front door, so you can tell the buyer, I will request a photograph of the front door from the courier to ensure it was delivered to the right place…

The handheld terminal is linked to a GPS system which shows location and time.

Sorry for my discussion here, but it’s about ebay order(but it can happens on Amazon too).
Firstly, I wanted to check feedback for others sellers, but I see - buyers feedback is private!
Secondly, I sent parcel from another EU country, but in UK my parcels deliver Royal Mail. My tracking number shows - delivered and I can see signature too.

Had exactly this scenario. Amazon refunded the customer. If they say it’s not their signature, Amazon believe them and you take the hit.

But as it’s actually an Ebay order your asking about it here seems a bit odd, frankly.
