Making a second amazon account
Hi guys,
So I am launching a new product line and have registered it as a new limited company. I am planning to open up a second amazon account completely separate from my current retail arbitrage business.
This account will use different banks, accountants, emails, store names etc.
The only thing that will be the same as my current account is the legal name which is my name and the business address.
Can anyone let me know if this will trigger a ban or anything? I am aware that Amazon knows and allows people to open second account for reasonable business purposes but I just want to double check I am allowed to use the same business address and legal name.
Thanks

Policy states
- Only maintain one Seller Central account for each region in which you sell unless you have a legitimate business need to open a second account and all of your accounts are in good standing. Examples of a legitimate business justification include:
- You own multiple brands and maintain separate businesses for each
- You manufacture products for two distinct and separate companies
- You are recruited for an Amazon programme that requires separate accounts
They did used to say both required separate legal entities , ie 2 different ltd companies but that doesn’t say it anymore
So if you are using a 2nd account for a separate brand, I believe that’s fine
The only potential issue I could see is that as your first account is using the RA model, and had any product authenticity issues and caused a suspension, your 2nd account would be suspended too

The obvious thing to ask here though, is do you really need a second account?
It’s perfectly acceptable to have multiple brands on one account.
And is there really a need for a separate ltd company?
Along with that, you are aware that even though it’s a separate company, your VAT liability will likely be joint in any case?
