FBA refused at BRS1 Bristol

Hi FBA sellers,

Posting this as a friendly heads-up for anyone shipping to the new fulfilment centre BRS1 Bristol.

My first FBA shipment to BRS1 has been refused. I’ve never had a shipment refused to any UK FC.

I normally use DPD as they do special rates for Amazon sellers shipping from Ireland to the UK. But because BRS1 is a new FC it was not listed on DPD’s website when creating the shipment.

So I shipped it with the post office and it was refused 2 days ago.

Very disappointed. Hopefully shipment will be returned to me without any issues.

I presume it was refused because Royal Mail didn’t have a delivery time-slot booked? Seller support not able to give a reason unfortunately.

You should not have used Royal Mail they are not an approved carrier so they dont have delivery slots. It will be delivered with their normal daily mail to the FC’s reception thats why its been refused.

This is very interesting, I sent a shipment to BRS1 last thursday… UPS tracking shows the shipments (5 boxes in total) all arriving at around 10am on monday morning… signed for at the fulfilment centre (left with “guard”) but none of my stock is live, and on my account the status of the shipment is just “shipped”.

Highly unusual for it to take this long for a delivered shipment to show up as live in inventory… combined with the fact that UPS say’s its delivered and amazon is showing no updates beyond “shipped”… is there a problem at BRS1??

Not sure why you still didn’t use DPD.
Just because their system doesn’t have the correct postcode, doesn’t mean that you can’t enter the details manually?

But yes, as others have said, the reason for the refusal is using RM.
They never accept them. It has to be an approved carrier.

I have several parcels all with the same status to BRS1 pending for a week or more.
I use UPS as Amazons suggested shipper so the issues must be down to the Fulfilment Centre.
