Amazon Brand and Multiple Sellers Warning

Good afternoon,

Yesterday I created a new listing using my UPC/EAN and brand name. When I go to the edit listing page it is giving me the following warning:

When multiple sellers sell the same product through a single detail page, we combine and present the best product data to ensure customers get the best experience.

I am not sure why there would be multiple sellers on my listing seeing as this product is under my UPC/brand. Currently, I am the only seller. My question is should I be worried about this?

To note, when I created the listing, I typed in N/A in the field ‘brand name’ because it would not let me create the listing without a brand registry with Amazon. After the listing was created I was able to amend the brand name field with my brand name. Could it be that this has made my listing generic and I am not the listing owner? Once my trademark is approved by UK IPO and I have brand registry with Amazon, will I be able to connect this listing with the brand in the Amazon Brand registry?

Other information that might be useful:

  • The listing has been set up with my UPC/EAN code that is GS1 registered.
  • My brand trademark is pending with UK IPO, should be approved/registered in 15 days.
  • I am not yet registered with Amazon Brand Registry because I am waiting for my trademark to be approved.

I don’t want my listing to be hijacked and also want to be able to access enhanced features that comes with Amazon brand registry. I have no reviews on the product currently so happy to wait for the trademark/amazon brand registry to go through.

Hi so N/A would log it more as a generic brand meaning multiple peoe can sell on that listing.

Amazon only allow EAN’s registered on GS1 and providing you put your brand name in brand and sub brand on that particular EAN it will allow you to create a listing
