No Tracking ID? Royal Mail 2nd class Large letter

Hi

I am confused, I always buy shipping through amazon, always!

I have noticed if the item is over 100g I can only choose Royal Maild 2nd class large letter.

I had a complaint off a customer wanting to know tracking, when I looked, there was no tracking ID against the order?

If under 100g I can choose Royal Mail 48 Large Letter, which does have a tracking ID

Is this a big problem? I certainly do not lie a blank tracking ID and I cannot choose RM48 LL only Royal Mail 2nd class

Any help appreciated

Hi @Seller_JkJ5Wu8mvvXN6, you can get Tracked 24 and Tracked 48 services added to your linked Royal Mail account by emailing Royal Mail directly via Royal.Mail.Amazon.In@royalmail.com. When emailing, please include your Royal Mail account number, name and contact number.

If you are worried about VTR, Amazon does not include the following in VTR calculations:

Cross-border shipments below £20: Shipments to and from Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, Austria, Sweden or Belgium below £20 (including shipping, excluding VAT) are exempt from VTR if shipped using a “letter” method.

Untracked Royal Mail 1st and 2nd Class Letter stamps and franking are exempt from VTR if purchased through Amazon Buy Shipping (at no extra cost).

My issue is that the system defaults to 2nd class but the RM48 option is below the 2nd class option. I ned to remember to change it EVERY time.

Did you click the "See all options" link?

Hello Kids_B_Crafty_472,

How/where do you post your 'large letters'?

If it's at the Post Office they issue a Horizon Proof of Posting which has a tracking/barcode number on it. Of course if the postie fails to scan on delivery the R. M. tracking site can't help

And it's not fully tracked which is what your customer probably wants

All Best
