Delivered to neighbour with photo and gps evidence
Hi I got a email from a buyer saying she wanted a refund as she has not received the item she ordered. The tracking shows it was delivered to a neighbour. The tracking shows a gps location and a photo of an open door with the package. I have asked the courier for the exact address but they haven’t got back to me. I have offered the buyer a replacement, she has not replied as of yet. The courier in question is Hermes. Advice please!

I would not be sending a replacement or a refund until you have confirmation from the courier that it was actually delivered, and that the customer has contacted their neighbour.
You need to give the customer every bit of tracking info you have, with screenshots and the photo.
Check out google earth and see if the photo of the front door matches that of the neighbour !!

I have looked on google maps, unfortunately all the doors are white (last google maps was 2012) this door is grey but looks the same design. The bricks and paths look the same too, so i’m confident it has been delivered to a neighbour. I had this problem a while ago and the buyer ended up filing an az claim. winning although i had photo and gps proof. Seems open for scams

Why don’t you ask the buyer to collect the order from the neighbour. The order was delivered to the neighbour because the customer was not available to accept the delivery. Normally they would collect the order from the post office in their absence.
If I am expecting a delivery I normally make provisions for the delivery and put a note on the door but this is rare. We have a good neighbours usually brings it round.
