Seller Fulfilled At Risk of Deactivation due to OTDR
"A critical event has occurred that has caused your account to be at risk of deactivation"
Oh no! Has someone died I think? On further investigation...no.
What has actually happened? Well the 6 out of 59 orders I dispatched in the last 14 days : 1. ON TIME , 2. BUYING SHIPPING LABELS THROUGH AMAZON'S BUY SHIPPING and 3. WITH FULL TRACKING did not meet Amazon's "promised delivery date".
What exactly am I supposed to do here? Drive up and down the country and overseas to ensure the parcels get delivered on time? Another prime example of Amazon setting sellers up to fail/ punishing them for not choosing FBA and paying the higher fees.
Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong here? Is there somewhere I can change the promised delivery date to around 3 weeks to allow the crappy couriers that Amazon make us get labels from (for what benefit I do not know) to make the delivery?
A "critical event" fml, enter the real world where actual critical events are happening that are disastrous.

I've been given the same notice by email. Royal Mail 1st and 2nd class standard only give delivery confirmation with their tracking ids after they have been delivered. As you know Royal like half the time they don't update the status as it relies on the postmen actually scanning the delivery. Even worse sometimes packages get delayed and there is nothing you can do as you said. I had a few packages delayed in a deliver office and there isn't much I can do.
People have suggested only using amazon's labels but that doesn't stop the delay which can easily exceed the expected deliver promise which affects your accounts health. The only thing we could do is switch to Royal Mail 48 but that's more expensive and might now be worth it for lower priced items. DPD and DHL are more reliable but they you have the price issue again. The only other way is to use Amazon shipping or FBA I guess.

How are we in control of the item once it leaves on time, Amazon needs to sort this out and understand that once we have dispatched it on time then we cannot be blamed for courier/postal delays and for the customer not being in on the delivery date.
This is a real bug bear for us all

You're saying that like it's ridiculous, but if couriers didn't exist, that's exactly what you'd have to do. That and not sell to places you can't deliver.
The fact you've outsourced delivery to a company because that's better for you doesn't absolve you of responsibility of delivery.
If you're not able to meet your delivery settings consistently, you either need to change your settings to give longer for delivery or you need to use a quicker courier.

Sellers are responsible until the buyer receives the parcel. This is not only Amazon's policy; it is the basic foundation that holds distant trading or online shopping anywhere in the world.
So sellers are to be blamed for the late or non-delivery of the parcels.

We use Tracked 24. No point in paying for a signature because the postie does not usually collect one or if he does it is illegible,
So far not using Amazon's cash cow buy shipping we have been OK with RM Tracked 24. Sadly this means that we have had to pass on the shipping costs to customers where it was offered free till the ridiculous metrics punished us. Clic & Drop did not work for us either since the delivery office did not always scan the manifest and coupled with the postie's reluctance to spend time getting a proper signature verified coupled with variable collection times it crushed any appeals for INR. Our sales are such we can use the public RM website delivering them to the local RM priority post box daily and the orders have been properly tracked and have been on time.
