Need help listing my first FBA product
I am trying to list my very first product on Amazon and having quite a time. My product is ready to be shipped from my manufacturer. I tried to set up my listing in order to obtain my FNSKU from Amazon to print on my packages before shipping, and have struggled since then. I went through the process of "adding my product" and it said it should show in my inventory within 30 minutes, but it has been over 24 hours and not shown up. I do know of one error I may have made in listing it (the manufacturer number) but I have no way to get back to it to edit that field. How do I proceed from here?
Also, another question....as for my brand name, do I have to have a trademarked name to list? I am following along an online course and they stated that we would not need a brand to start off, if selling fairly generic products. So I didn't know if my "brand name" set up in my seller central account is also causing a kickback if it's not trademarked. Help! I wish there was a way to talk over the phone to someone with all of these questions!

Second I highly suggest you visit Seller University

Hey @Seller_UWuCyOTcfM2ga, the other seller on this thread provided good advice for your first question, but I wanted to touch on the other one. If you are selling trademarked products that you are the brand owner of, you will want to enroll in Brand Registry. You can find more info on how to do so here.
If you are selling branded products that you are NOT the brand owner of, you will need to show that you have express permission from the brand themselves to sell their products on Amazon, as well as valid invoices from authorized distributors (invoices, not receipts).
If you are selling products that are truly generic and have no branding, you can list it as a generic product.
This Seller University video titled "Sell with a registered brand, an unregistered brand, or generic products" will be helpful!
Additionally, I would recommend that you join the New Seller Community we have here on the Forums for assistance with any and all questions that you may have as a new seller navigating selling on Amazon!
