I Approved a Refund But Amazon is Not Applying the Refund to the Customer?

I approved a refund on Wednesday July 3rd for a package that was returned. Today, Wednesday, July 10th I looked at the order and saw that the refund had not been applied. So today I approved a refund and now see the refund hasn't been applied once again.

Why is the refund not being applied by Amazon?

Hello @Seller_6VO6fhvCiHF1rand thanks for posting about this situation. Using that Order ID, I was able to locate a case where I see our support team informed you that the refund issued in this case was denied due to issues with the buyer's payment method. Have you had any further communication with this buyer around the experience?
